Akhil Supported Donald Trump!?

Hero Akhil seems to have indulged in a fresh controversy. Akhil gave a live performance for a fund raising charity event named 'Humanity United against Terror' held in New Jersey on 15th of October. The funds raised through this event were supposed to be used for the benefits of Kashmiri pundits and terror victims. 

However, the organizers are said to be the supporters of Donald Trump, the Republican Party's nominee for the President of US polls, 2016. Trump too gave inaugural speech at the event to woo NRIs in the US for their votes. It was also speculated that a little percentage of the funds collected would be used for the election campaigning in support of the Republican party. 

Nevertheless, Trump faces troubled waters in the election battle. Especially, his derogatory remarks on the women spoiled his image completely. According to a survey, only 7% Indians in the US are supporting Trump at the moment. 

In this scenario, live performance of Akhil was criticized by the detractors. It was also, alleged that the actors and technicians should be aware of political happenings before giving nods to such cultural events. Akhil has made it clear that he had participated in the event as a hero and as dancer and politics was not a cup of tea for him.

Prabhudeva, Shriya and a few other stars from Tollywood and Bollywood have become part of the event. Incidentally, Mega Power Star Ram Charan, who was supposed to give live performance in the event initially, has dropped his idea later due to medical emergency in his family.
