Thala Ajith, this name is famous as one of the ruling star heroes in Kollywood. But, the same is now rolled in media headlines for altogether a different political reason. Yes, a new buzz began to surround South Indian political circles saying that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha decided to announce Ajith as his successor.
To everyone’s knowledge, Jayalalitha is admitted in Apollo Hospitals from last 10 days fighting for life. Governance in Tamil Nadu has come to a halt although retired IAS officer and adviser Sheela Balakrishnan is managing the show off. While certain Tamil media sections have reported about Amma being on path to recovery, other sources said that she might not be able to handle the political pressure even after recuperation.
A Kannada daily published a sensational story on announcing Ajith as next leader to take up AIADMK leadership. Few days before getting admitted at Apollo, Amma personally called up Ajith expressing the will to see him as next chief minister. The same is also conveyed to close leaders in the party. Paneer Selvam, close aide to Jayalalitha will be the guiding force for Ajith in delivering the duties as CM. Next two to three months, Tamil Nadu politics will pass through a thrilling time phase.
