Gradually, fast paced screen plays were preferred by the filmmakers due to the emergence of megastars in 80s. The needs of the youth of new generations were fulfilled by those stars with their tremendous acting and dancing prowess.

It seems the trend of Snail Paced screen plays has started again in Tollywood. One of the blockbusters of last year, 'Srimanthudu' was dealt with slow narration during the second half of the film. Yet, the movie got runaway success. Even small budget films like 'Nenu Sailaja' ran well with slow narrations. And now, latest super hit 'Janatha Garage's second half also went on with a slow screen play. Even then, the film scored a big hit now.

According to film analysts, TV serials made a trick here. Having watched Telugu TV serials over the decades, audience have unintentionally developed the skill of watching films and TV serials patiently. As such, movies with slow screen plays are also paying off. However, there must be a strict rule to be followed by the filmmakers with these kind of screen plays. The scenes shot by the directors should be felt touching and connecting by the audiences.
