List of Criticisms on AP Govt. Krishna Pushkaralu!

Crores of pilgrims take holy dip once per every 12 years during Krishna Pushkaralu with utmost devotion. This year too, good number of pilgrims are thronging to Vijayawada city to offer rituals to elders and to take holy dip. However, the AP government, has taken these pushkaralu too personal and has reportedly invested Rs.1600 crores to the event. Critics, however, took potshots on the government's failure on following dark facts about Pushkaralu.

* As the government, itself express its concern about lack of funds to the state, it should implement money saving measures. Instead, it spent unimaginable number of Rs.1600 crores on the occasion. 

* Serial light sets were arranged to the green belts, all the official and unofficial buildings in main streets in Vijayawada city. With everyone's surprise, serial sets were decorated to even useless plants including weeds. Some of the oldest buildings, which are about to be demolished were also decorated. Unfortunately, slum areas and interior areas were ignored for lighting arrangements. 

* Although Guntur city no way connected with Pushkaralu, entire city was decorated with lights. This is one of the big reasons how the money was wasted.

* Police were seen in big numbers than the pilgrims in some of the ghats. Most of them are heard to have behaved rudely on pilgrims in spite of showing patience. 

* It is heard that some junior artists of Tollywood visited pushkarlu in the getup of 'Aghoras'. Yellow media has given them a wide coverage. 

* Unfortunately, five pilgrims were accidentally drowned to death. But yellow media twisted the news saying that they were drowned for swimming.
