Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' hit the screens on 22nd of this month amidst huge hype and hoopla. Though the movie performed exceptionally well in Overseas, it got disastrous performance in Telugu states. The movie, which was sold out to Rs.32 crores, fetched Rs.18 crores at the end of its first weekend's run.
From then on, gradual dip in collections is being recorded in Telugu states. According to the reports, the movie collected just Rs.2.51 lakhs in Guntur territory on its sixth day and a total of Rs.1.81 crores for six days. If at all the same trend is continued, the movie may face deficits from next Monday. Perhaps, the movie's success meet, which is planned in Chennai, may bailout the movie's blues.
'Kabali' was directed by Pa Ranjith on Kalaipuli S Thanu's production. Radhika Apte has done the female lead of the movie. Santhosh Narayanan has composed the music of the movie.
