It is a known fact that the Kapu Reservation Movement's leader Mudragada Padmanabham was arrested by the CID recently. Even then, Mudragada is continuing his deeksha in Rajamahendravaram hospital. On the other hand, the government has blocked the broadcast of some of the news channels to ensure Mudragada's arrest and deeksha news are not reached to people.
Megastar Chiranjeevi, however, lashed out the TDP's stand on Mudragada and media. "I condemn the arrest of Mudragada Padmanabham, who has been doing deeksha for Kapu reservations. The police behaved rudely on the members of the family of Mudragada. The broadcast of some of the channels were blocked so as not to get the news telecasted by the channels. This is an indication of the government's monopoly to the extremity," said Chiranjeevi.
"No one would support the violence in Tuni. Earlier, the government complained that some persons, who had come from Rayalaseema, were responsible for Tuni's incident. But then, how can the government defend the arrests in East Godavari? The government should have dealt the sensitive social issues wisely. On the contrary, it's taking aggressive measures to handle the issue. It is a futile exercise to sidetrack the problem. The government should solve the issues such as Kapu reservations, SCs classification and implementation of BC sub plan. Instead of letting the ministers and MLAs to attack on the issues, the government should solve the problems cleverly. I demand the government to get the CBI enquiry done to arrest the culprits of Tuni incident," he added.
