NTR and Koratala Claim Equal Credit for Janatha Garage Pre Biz
Young Tiger NTR's 'Janatha Garage' is one of the highly anticipated movies of Tollywood. NTR's previous film 'Naannaku Prematho's theatricals were sold out to Rs.51 crores and other recent ventures business was ranging between Rs.40 crores and 50 crores.
NTR's 'Janatha Garage', however, is doing unusual and abnormal business in the market which is definitely said to be beyond the stamina of NTR. As per early estimates 'Janatha Garage' might have done a theatrical pre biz of Rs.63 crores. But then, what prompted the buyers investing such a huge sum on the film?
Koratala Siva makes the difference. It doesn't mean Koratala is that great director. Apart from his directorial prowess and expertise, fortune also favoured him for the blockbuster results of both of his previous films 'Mirchi' and 'Srimanthudu' with no other big films in competition in respective seasons. According to the reports, 'Janatha Garage's Karnataka rights have been sold out to Rs.7.02 crores while Ceded rights fetched Rs.8.5 crores. In other areas too, the movie is being sold out to record prices among NTR's films. The movie's release date has been locked to August 12.
