Shankar Bigger Than Rajini in AP & TS?

Needless to say the craze and amounts of stardom that Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth had. And then, director Shankar's technical skills, his direction prowess and command in every aspect in movie making is exemplary.

Earlier, we have watched Shankar and Rajini's combo films like 'Sivaji' and 'Robo'. Both Shankar and Rajini's films have good demand in Telugu states. However, looking into the pre biz of Shankar and Rajini's latest films, Shankar seems to hve got little edge over Rajinikanth in Telugu states. 

Shankar's previous film 'I' was sold out to Rs.27 crores in Telugu states excluding satellite rights. It is being said that Rajinikanth's upcoming film 'Kabali's rights have been acquired by Praveen & Co. of West Godavari for both Telugu states for Rs.32 crores including satellite rights. As per an estimation, a Rajinikanth's film gets at least Rs. 7 to 6 crores through its satellite rights. As such, 'Kabali's theatricals have been valued around Rs.25 crores. It must also be remembered that there is a clear gap of one and half years between the releases of both the films. 

Meanwhile, 'I' stood as an average grosser in Telugu states. 'Kabali' is being hoped to become a blockbuster in Telugu states.
