As a specialist of family entertainers Srikanth Addala achieved a pinnacle of success with 'Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu'. On the contrary, his directorial prowess stoops to all time low in his career with the catastrophic failure of 'Brahmotsavam'.
How come a director, who drop-shipped a clean entertainer with 'SVSC', has gone to rags with 'Brahmotsavam'? Is there any huge difference between both the films? Yes, there it is! Victory Venkatesh, who is considered to be an apogee of family entertainers, has played one of the lead stars of 'SVSC' apart from Prince Mahesh.
In 'SVSC' too, there were a couple of boring moments, say critics. Nevertheless amazing screen presence of Venkatesh and Mahesh balanced the things. Family audience, over the decades, have accustomed watching family flicks of Venkatesh. They watched 'SVSC' irrespective of some setbacks. Sadly, 'Brahmotsavam' is missing Venkatesh. It doesn't mean Venkatesh's absence is the only factor that changed the prospects of 'Brahmotsavam'. Apart from many other shortcomings Venkatesh's absence, somehow, appeared to be the reason for 'Brahmotsavam's debacle.
