In his 17 years of professional career as a hero, Prince Mahesh saw many ups and downs. He delivered an industry hit, blockbusters and disasters too. When the star was in a fix with a series of flops after 'Pokiiri', 'Dookudu's blockbuster result made him to heave a sigh of relief. Afterwards, his 'Businessman' scored moderate success and multi-starrer 'Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' attained super hit status. Until 'SVSC', Mahesh's career appeared to have gone smoothly.

However, as far as last four films track record of Mahesh is concerned, it was destructive. His '1-Nenokkadine' was released during the Sankranthi season of 2014. Mahesh's under play in this stylish action entertainer couldn't receive well by the audience. The movie was sold out for Rs.72 crores but it fetched just Rs.29 crores and stood as a debacle at the box office. Mahesh's mass entertainer 'Aagadu' was released in the same year. This movie too, couldn't live upto the expectations. The movie collected around Rs.34 crores share.

Mahesh appeared to have bounced back with 'Srimanthudu' last year. The movie collected Rs.83 crores and stood as an all time second biggest grosser of Tollywood. This message oriented family entertainer gave a boost to Mahesh's career. But then, his elation hasn't last long. His latest offing 'Brahmotsavam' was released on 20th of May and carried negative reports on day one. The movie's exact fate is yet to be awaited. If at all this movie also doesn't live upto expectations, Mahesh's score for last four films will be just one. Let's not hope this to happen. And let's hope, Mahesh will be more cautious in selection of right scripts to be the contender of numero uno status of Tollywood.
