Having collected R.63.71 crores at the end of its third weekend run, Stylish Star Allu Arjun's 'Sarrainodu' stood as the biggest grosser of the year. Irrespective of carrying negative talk on the release day, the movie has not only got the blockbuster of the year status, but also came nearer to the shares collected by previous blockbuster 'Srimanthudu'.
'Srimanthudu' collected an overall share of Rs.82.38 crores. In India alone, the movie accumulated Rs.68+ crores share. 'Sarrainodu' is expected to collect Rs.62 crores in India which makes the difference of just Rs.6 crores between 'Srimanthudu' and 'Sarrainodu'.
In AP 'Srimanthudu' collected Rs.58.88 crores while 'Sarrainodu' raked in Rs.52 crores so far. As per the trade reports, 'Sarrainodu' broke 'Srimanthudu' shares in Ceded, Vizag, Karnataka and Nellore (to be broken). Had 'Sarrainodu' got benefit shows and ticket price hike on the day of its release, it could have collected more shares.
