Movie making is basically a business and the filmmakers wish to get profits with their products. The making of a Telugu cinema turned highly expensive nowadays and the producers have to pump in huge money at various stages during the production of their movies.
Unfortunately, a bad trend seems to have become contagious and throwing the filmmakers in a state of melancholy. If a film gets failed at the box office, some of the Distributors are attacking the offices of the producers and threaten them to pay their investments back.
Long back Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth paid his remuneration back to those Distributors who suffered losses with 'Baba' movie's disaster result. Perhaps, the superstar might have thought he had shown compassion on the buyers who lost big bucks for distributing the movie. However, Rajini, turned the victim of his act, with his recent venture 'Lingaa', as the buyers of the film revolted against the makers to get their investments back.
As the situation turned chaotic, heroes and the producers should choose worthy and wise Distributors who would not trouble them after the film's release in spite of the movie's fate. And the buyers who attack the producers should not be given new films by the filmmakers. It's being heard that heroes like Young Tiger NTR are interfering in picking out right buyers for their movies. A sensible move indeed!
The discussion will be one sided if we stop here. Should the Distributors alone be the victims of the failures of the movies? To get the issues solved the Distributors should make agreements to get the future projects of the heroes/producers subject to a movie's failure they distributed. Anyways, let's not wish Distributors pressuring the filmmakers and heroes to get their amounts back through emotional blackmailing.
