YSR Congress MLA Roja on Tuesday, 8th of March, moved to the Supreme Court challenging her suspension from the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Speaker K. Siva Prasad suspended the MLA from the Assembly for a year on December 18 for allegedly making unparliamentary remarks against chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
The case comes to Supreme Court's hearing today and the Apex Court expressed its shock and surprise for suspending the MLA without issuing notices to her. The Supreme Court felt the Assistant Registrar of the High Court is needed to be taken action for playing proper role in this case.
Also, the Supreme Court ordered the High Court to hear the petition of Roja on Wednesday. And the necessary orders would be served to the High court this evening through e-mail. Supreme Court's decision comes as a huge relief for Roja, who has been eagerly waiting for her suspension to be lifted. Also, this is a shocker to the TDP, who wanted Roja to be suspended from AP Assembly during the party's tenure.
