Manchu Manoj’s recent outing with a thrilling love story ‘Shourya’ is rejected outright by Telugu audience. In major areas, the film’s run is likely to complete in less than one week and for coming Friday, all the major centers are replacing ‘Shourya’ with ‘Thuntari.’ For a film which promised something different as observed from trailers and teasers, this is an absolute disappointment for both audience and Manoj.
Before analyzing the drawbacks in directional lapses from director Dasarath, critics were seen blaming Manoj for poor selection. ‘He has the talent and zeal to experiment on new concepts and untouched stories with novel screenplay. Problem is, he isn’t finding the right team to achieve the desired results. Dasarath is the weakest link in ‘Shourya.’ Neither he had the experience to deal with thrillers nor was his screenplay, writing helped the film,’ a critic commented.
Meanwhile, Manoj worked very hard to prepare for Shourya lead characterization by accumulating extra adipose of around 8 Kgs. Now, he has to tone down the physique by working double hard. All in all, ‘Shourya’ had many reason to justify on Manoj getting severely upset.
