Actor Kalabhavan Mani No More

Noted Malayalam actor and renowned folksinger Kalabhavan Mani passed away on Sunday, March 6 in Amritha Hospital of Kochi. He was 45. He was admitted in the hospital yesterday due to liver ailment. The doctors declared that he had died at 7:15 pm.

Kalabhavan Mani was an auto driver before he becoming a full time actor. In the beginning, he was shown as a mimicry artiste. Gradually he emerged as a hero in Malluwood. He was also seen as a villain and a character artist in many films. he acted around 200 films which include films of all the Southern languages. He played main villain role in Venkatesh's 'Gemini'.

Kalabhavan Mani won the Kerala state award for best actor in 1999 for his role in Vasantiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum. Cinejosh is saddened with the demise of Kalabhavan Mani. We pray for his soul rests in peace.
