The mistake committed by Bellamkonda Suresh to introduce his son Sai Sreenivas as next mass hero in making has backfired with very debut flick ‘Alludu Seenu.’ Made on a high budget and promoted on a very big scale, ‘Alludu Seenu’ from director VV Vinayak collected decently but nowhere near to what was invested. So, it was right to call the project as cost failure and there were few lessons needed to be learnt.
Instead of rectifying those miscalculations made in past, it appears like Sai’s second film ‘Speedunnodu’ followed same wrong path to face humiliation. Released last week, the movie from Bheemaneni Srinivas Rao had noticed a drastic drop in revenues from day 2. To our surprise, ‘Speedunnodu’ was released on a gigantic scale with opening theaters as bulk as that of a star hero. All this has resulted in burdening the producers and buyers to hole their pockets with extra losses.
Instead of making Rs.20 to 25 Crores mass and action films on Sai, why can’t producers follow a safe approach of wrapping a project somewhere in between 5 to 10 Crores by attempting on lighter vein romantic concepts. There are no heroic single leaps to climb the mountainous stardom in film industry. The rise has to be gradual to enjoy a long lasting innings.
