It was a racy start by the BJP led NDA with initial numbers showcasing its majority in Bihar polls counting. But the joy of the party's supporters and activists ended in no time as the Jdu takes lead after one hour of the counting process gets started.
According to the latest reports, Jdu is leading in 144 constituencies while NDA leads in 85 constituencies. Independents are leading in 8 constituencies. The magic mark the government to be established in Bihar is 122 and Jdu is expected to cross it easily as per reports.
If at all BJP gets defeated in this election battle, it would be a major setback for the party and the PM Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister is being criticized for many reasons. Most of the welfare programs are understood by the people as publicity stunts. Imposition of Swach Bharat cess on services is also highly lambasted by the critics recently. Religious Intolerance of the BJP is also said to be one of the main reasons for anti-incumbency. Anyways, it remains to be seen whether the union government learns lessons from Bihar results or not.
