MS Raju, Understandable Sir!

Senior producer and director Ms Raju’s anxiety to confer a settled stardom for his son Sumanth Ashwin is unbelievable and can be understood. The young and handsome looking Sumanth stood far away from attempting anything new. He restricted himself to cute lover boy roles becoming completely monotonous. A movie from Sumanth is obviously treated as a romantic one with regular youthful ingredients. Problem lies in balancing these youthful ingredients and presenting the same in a new structure. 

Sumanth recently enjoyed a smart hit ‘Kerintha’ and now came forward with new movie ‘Columbus’ with major credits of story, screenplay and direction supervision offered by Ms Raju. Without stopping here, Ms Raju even took freedom of doing a cameo in closing portions. Among Dasara new releases, ‘Columbus’ also gained enough prominence with extensive promotions and earned decent positive pre release talk.

Ms Raju is working hard to present Sumanth Ashwin in best possible roles there by giving him a big break. However, he should also analyze a fact that films of this scale like ‘Columbus, Kerintha, Chakkiligintha’ will help only in extension of Sumanth’s filmography but not in nurturing a firm image. Hope, the cute looking young hero matures at least for next assignments to discover the need for change.
