Highlights & Sidelights of 'Akhil' Audio Launch

King Nagarjuna's younger son Akhil's debut film 'Akhil's audio launch was held at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium of Hyderabad on Sunday, September 20. Highlihgts and sidelights of this audio launch are as follows.

HIGHLIGHTS: 

* Prince Mahesh has attended the event as the chief guest. Other guests include KL Narayana, Koratala Siva, Bandla Ganesh, Potluri Vara Prasad, Bellamkonda and others. 

* Suma has done anchoring. 

* Mahesh launched theatrical trailer of the movie. He said, " Akhil was just seen for one minute during climax of 'Manam' movie and proved he has terrific screen presence. Vinayak garu knows how to present a debut hero. Thanks to Vinay garu for giving us one more big hero to TFI. Everyone says 'ANR Lives on' and Akhil stands as an example for it."

* Bandla Ganesh said, " Rajamouli took 'Baahubali' to Hollywood. But VV Vinayak brought Akhil from Hollywood."

* Naga Chaitanya said 'Akhil' would be the hat-trick for Akhil after 'Sisindri' and 'Manam'. He also said, Akhil would show everything which was not shown by other debut heroes so far.

* Nagarjuna thanked Mahesh for attending the audio launch function. He announced the release date of the movie as October 22 on the occasion of Vijayadashami.

* Akhil thanked everyone who associated with the film. He revealed Vinayak had shown great affection on him as a friend and as a brother. 

* VV Vinayak assured the movie would become a sensational hit. 

* Audio CDs were launched by Akkineni Amala and gave them away to Nagarjuna and other guests. 

SIDELIGHTS: 

* Mahesh stayed in the function for only 15 minutes. He was expected to launch the audio CDs. Instead, he unveiled theatrical trailer only. His speech was decent. 

* Akhil looked handsome. His voice and diction were okay. Yet there needs to be a refinement and people should connect to his voice. However, his dances in the song sequences were mind blowing. Akhil should not have shown six pack abs in the very first film.

* Sayesha Saigal appeared like an angelic beauty. The makers reportedly set a condition to her not to do any other movie till the movie gets its shoot wrapped up. Else, Sayesha could have been seen in more movies

* Songs and visuals were good. 'Ninnu choosi' by Anup and 'Padsave' songs may rock chart busters.

* Theatrical trailer had only action elements in it and subject of the movie is understood as the hero fights for a tribal group in the forest. The response of the viewers about this trailer is yet to be known.

* Last but not the least, Suma should once again be appreciated for her extemporaneous and memory skills. She recited the same words as Nagarjuna wrote about his father ANR on the occasion of his brith anniversary today.
