Who is Apsara in 'Mayuri'?

When a seasoned and well calculated producer like C Kalyan is given the theatrical release responsibility for Tamil film ‘Maya’ dubbed into Telugu as ‘Mayuri,’ automatically there will be a positive buzz because C Kalyan’s majority of recent dubbing hits were horror and thriller subjects. Though ‘Mayuri’ is superbly narrated convolute script brought forward a new Tamil talent of Ashwin Saravannan, there are plenty of confusions for the viewers.

‘Mayuri’ is not the central character’s name in original Tamil version but it was Apsara played by Nayanathara. Unfortunately, C Kalyan may not have understood the story line or basic essence of the film which had lot many perplexities. When all the characters in film address Nayan as Mayuri, there are certain scenes where in Apsara is used for same role. For example, the patient name on Medical prescription or payee’s name on bank Cheque should have been Mayuri and not Apsara which further distracted viewers from already a blurry subject.

It’s a prior intimation for all viewers, while watching ‘Mayuri’ take it for granted that whenever Apsara name is presented on screen, read it as Mayuri. What is this Kalyan Sir, you have sent viewers in a wrong orientation. Such simple dubbing errors tend to become logical blunders.
