AP Govt's Revolutionary Decision

Due to the lack of infrastructure, amenities in school buildings and teachers with less proficiency and poor SSC results, government schools have got below par standards comparing with private schools. However, in the year 2008, the Ap Government launched parallel English Medium sections in High Schools in the name of SUCCESS. From then on, both EM and TM sections have been running parallel in the same campus. 

And now, the Ap Government has taken a revolutionary decision converting all the SUCCESS High Schools as English Medium schools. A total of 3000+ government schools will be converted into full-fledged EM High Schools. Students of TM sections will be shifted to nearby TM high schools or UP schools and the existing high school buildings will be allocated exclusively for EM students. The objective of the government doing it so is to increase the enrollment of the pupils, improving the quality education and to avoid dropouts and of course, the government tries to woo lakhs of poor parents who can't get their children to be educated in English Medium schools. 

And what more interesting aspect is that young, energetic and highly capable teachers with English Medium background in their academic studies will get promotions/ appointments as Gazetted Headmasters and other key posts. However, teachers with TM background and having no capabilities in teaching English Medium are all set to agitate against the government's decision. It then remains to be seen what more developments are reinforced in AP Education Department.
