A deep sigh of relief for Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan, his fans and movie lovers. The Bombay High Court has suspended the Sessions Court's sentence of five years imprisonment to Salman Khan and granted bail for the actor. The court has opined that the case was not properly investigated.
The court has directed Salman Khan to apply for fresh bail and to surrender his passport to the court. Next hearing of the case will be made on July 5.
Salman Khan was convicted of ramming his car into a roadside bakery in Bandra in 2002. He was sentenced to five years imprisonment by the Bombay Sessions Court on Wednesday. In the meanwhile, Salman Khan's lawyer, Amit Desai argued in Mumbai High Court, today, that one of the witnesses, Kamaal Khan was not examined in this case. Hearing the arguments, the single- judge bench of justice Abhay suspended the sentence of sessions court. Hearing the news of Salman Khan's bail, his fans across the world went on jubilant and are celebrating now.
