Looks like, the good news from Kollywood circles is ‘Uttama Villain’ producers have cleared all the financial hurdles today in the morning hours and are preparing the platform for a massive release today, may be from evening shows. As of now, the shows of morning and matinee are confirmed to have been abandoned both in Tamil and Telugu. The film is jointly produced by Kamal Hasan (Raaj Kamal Films International) and Linguswamy (Thirrupathi Brothers).

If reports are to be believed, the financiers who have kept their legs crossed stopping the release are paid back with an amount of Rs. 29 Crores by Linguswamy. This was a part of settlement of old debts linked to their earlier disaster ‘Anjaan’ starring Suriya, Samanta. From then on, ‘Uttama Villain’ is sitting on the backburner owing to many financial troubles. Even a direct entry of Kamal could not solve the hassle.
