The former union minister, MP of Rajyasabha and Megastar Chiranjeevi announced Rs.50 lakhs for the Hudhud cyclone victims from his MP LADS. This means, Chiranjeevi donates the money from the funds sanctioned for MPs for development programs, but not from his own pockets. Obviously, some of the media houses and anti Chiranjeevi group have tried to erode Chiranjeevi's fame projecting this issue and tried to lambaste Chiranjeevi at the zenith. It is still uncertain whether they know the rules to be followed by the politicians in donating the funds or not. Let's have a check on those rules.
* If any politician wants to donate something officially, it should be either through the funds( party's funds or other funds) or through his salaries. And that's why, no politician announces the donation of his own property officially. Starting from the PM, CMs of the states and other MLAs, all the politicians do follow the same rule. And Chiranjeevi also did it as per the rule.
* Interestingly, none of the media channels has announced any donations yet. Yet again there is nobody to question them.
* Chiranjeevi was the first politician to have announced Rs.50 lakhs donation to cyclone victims. There was no other MP to have donated funds from MP LADS till 15th afternoon. Yet, there is no recognition for Chiranjeevi's charity. Whoever, show their social responsibility, media should allot good amounts of space for it. Else, they could be treated as tiss...papers.
* Meanwhile, it is a known news that Chiranjeevi is spending lakhs of rupees every month in the form of salaries of the employed and for the maintenance of his blood and eye banks.
