KVP's Sacrifice for Chiranjeevi in Rajyasabha

It is a known news that the Polavaram project's AP Reorganization bill was passed in Rajyasabha yesterday. Amid protests from members of the TRS, the bill has finally been passed with the support extended by the congress party. 

In the meanwhile, former union minister Chiranjeevi in his speech, revealed the advantages of Polavaram project. He also assured that the project will be useful for the people of Telangana as well. He said, " 25.5 lakhs of people will get drinking water facility. 960 mega watts of electricity can be produced. Industry needs can also be met and the states like Chattis Garh will also be benefited with this project."

As and when the deputy speaker ordered KVP to speak next, KVP has surrendered 3 minutes of his time for Chiranjeevi seeking the continuation of the latter's speech. Thus, Chiranjeevi, on a whole availed a time of more than 8 minutes to deliver his views on Polavaram project.
