Chiranjeevi Gets Polavaram Credit!

It was neither YSR nor Chandrababu Naidu, who fought for the special status of Polavaram project but it was former union minister Chiranjeevi, who first raised the demand and fought for Polavaram project's special status. In fact, Polavaram has been the burning topic over the decades. Chiranjeevi, however, protested for the special status of the  project in an organized manner. He demanded the special status of Polavaram during his first public meet on behalf of PRP, held in Tirupathi. He did bus yatra for Polavaram. When he merged his party into the Congress, he demanded the Congress party to announce the special status to Polavaram. He also stressed the demand of Polavaram during his speech in Rajyasabha. 

Finally, Polavaram ordinance was successfully passed in Lok Sabha today. A total of 211 villages apart from 34,000 families will be merged into AP.
