Initially, Gunasekhar is gossiped to have approached three top heroes before Allu Arjun for 'Gona Gannareddy's role. But they have reportedly rejected to do the role due to their own reasons and they are as follows.

* A handsome hero of tollywood mostly banks on his handsomeness for the movies rather than giving importance to typical fights and dance sequences which require intense physical strain. That's why, the hero might have rejected this movie.
