Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna has jumped into poll fray as he is contesting as an MLA candidate through Hindupur constituency. Since Hindupur constituency is considered to be the fort of Nandamuri heroes, Balakrishna might have opted for this constituency to contest as an MLA.
However, Chandrababu Naidu is facing criticisms for not maintaining 'social justice' in Hindupur. According to the census reports, Hindupur has 70,000 Muslim minority voters. Obviously, a Muslim candidate should have been a right choice to be considered the MLA candidate of this constituency. The TDP followed social justice in 2009 in this constituency but missed the same in these elections. But then, CBN has preferred the likes of Balakrishna. Interestingly, Seemandhra Congress campaigning committee's convener, Chiranjeevi has pointed out this blunder of Chandrababu Naidu. It remains to be seen how well the Muslim voters affect the chances of Balakrishna and the MLA candidates of other political parties in these elections.
