'Yevadu' Achieves Rare Feat of 'Gharanamogudu'?

It was January 10, 1992. Victory Venkatesh's 'Chanti' was released on this day without much expectations among the audiences. Given the extraordinary content, superb takings by the director  and family appealing performances by Venkatesh and Meena, the movie proved to be an industry hit at the box office. The movie finally, collected a share of Rs.9 crores across the globe. Everybody thought that the record would exist at least for 3 to 5 years.However, Megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Gharanamogudu', which was released on 9th of April,1992, with a gap of 3 months to the release of 'Chanti', has crossed all the records set by 'Chanti' at the box office then and stood as an industry hit at the box office. Similarly, Power Star Pawan Kalyan's 'Khushi' crossed the industry records set by 'Narasimha Naidu' within a gap of just three months.

Recently, Power Star Pawan Kalyan's 'Atharintiki Daredi' proved to be an industry hit by collecting Rs. 81+ crores share  across the globe. This movie was released on 27 September, 2013. Meanwhile, Mega Power Star Ram Charan's 'Yevadu' is hitting the screens on 12th January, 2014. If this movie scores an industry hit, the movie achieves the feat of 'Gharanamogudu' since there is a gap of just three and half months between the releases of 'AD' and 'Yevadu'. However, it is interesting to see how well the movie to be received by the audiences.
