Varjrotsavalu Industry Hit- 100 Years Cinema Flop!

In connection with the completion of 75 years of Telugu talky cinema, tollywood celebrated a three day festive event 'Telugu Cine Vajrotsavalu' from 26th January,2007 to 28th January,2007. The 'never seen' mega celebrations went on huge success and we may call it an industry hit in cinema language. In a complete contrast, '100 Years of South Indian Cinema' celebrations were held recently and they tasted disaster result. But then, why 'Vajrotsavalu' turned industry hit  and '100 Years  Cinema' flopped? Following are said to be the reasons for the divergent results of both the events. 

* Since '100 Years Cinema' celebrations were held in Chennai, obviously organizers of Tamil cinema played dominant role and other film industries were sidelined. 

* There was an active participation by the top heroes of tollywood in 'Vajrotsavalu'. Especially, heroes from mega compound and other top heroes organized the event quite well. However, no hero was seen in '100 Years of Telugu Cinema'. 

* The organizers of '100 years of Cinema' had no consultations with other bigwigs of tollywood. Moreover, they had no proper planning for the programs to be performed. However, 'Vajrotsavalu' stands as an inspiration how a  big event is conducted.

* Almost all the artists and technicians were invited for 'Vajrotsavalu'. Fortunately, all of them graced the event. Unfortunately, the organizers of '100 Years of Cinema' have not invited many noted artists and technicians to the celebrations. This factor, subsequently, led to a big failure of the event.
