Cherry Saves A Stuntman's Life

Mega Power Star  Ram Charan had to perform a lot of death-defying stunts for 'Zanjeer'. The movie boasts of some heavy duty, stylised action sequences by action directors Javed and Aejaz, some of which Ram Charan has performed on his own.For one of the sequences, the action team recreated one of Asia's largest slums at a set in Mumbai. As many as 250 slums were built for the chase scene involving oil mafia goons that required Ram to zip his way through narrow zig-zag bylanes.

In what could have been a major disaster, Ram Charan is heard to have saved the life of a stuntman. A source from the sets revealed that while chasing one of the goons in the sequence, Ram Charan had to take a sharp turn. The fighter, who was being chased, suddenly slipped and fell down. Unfortunately, the accident was not visible to the crew due to the huge cloud of dust and smoke that had enveloped Ram's car. Ram Charan immediately sensed that something was amiss and applied the breaks before anything untoward could happen. The entire crew was thankful to the actor for his presence of mind.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, 'Zanjeer' features Priyanka Chopra as the leading lady while Sanjay Dutt, Prakash Raj and Mahie Gill did other lead star cast. The movie was produced by Reliance Entertainment.
