Story Behind Krishna's Superstar Title

The title superstar and the name Krishna are interlinked and we can't divide them. Here is the exclusive story behind Krishna's 'Superstar' title for you. In the year 1982, popular Telugu Film Weekly Magazine, 'Jyothichitra' conducted a poll on 'Superstar' title. Whoever, bags the title he would be considered the superstar. Late, NTR got selected for the title 'Superstar' in 1982. Later, he launched a political party and thus joined the active politics. 

Later, Krishna was selected as the superstar title for three consecutive years such as 1983,84 and 85. However, Chiranjeevi's fans complained that the magazine was showing biased towards Krishna and because of manipulations, he got the title superstar. Subsequently, the magazine stopped conducting the 'superstar' polls from 1986. However, Chiranjeevi's title as 'Megastar' was seen for the first time in  the titles of 'Marana Mrudangam', which was released in 1988. There after, the title 'Megastar' went on viral among the whole people of AP, and it faded out the title 'superstar'. Though the title 'Superstar' has craze among many other states, as far as AP is concerned 'Megastar' is the crazy title.
