Is Rana, the next Gopichand?

Young hero Rana is although a versatile artist who has enough hold on all departments of film making, till date he is unable to deliver a strong commercial hit to cement his position in Tollywood. Into the recent past, position of another hero Gopichand was same in early times of his career. Of course, the Macho hero was quick to understand a truth that he is more suitable for antagonist characters and worked with director Teja and Sobhan in re-building the career. Movies like 'Nijam' and 'Varsham' brought him close to public. After getting enough recognition, Gopichand then tried hero characters to evolve as a strong mass hero.

Now, Rana seems to be following the same trick after the disappointing result of 'Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum.' We hear that, Rana accepted a character with negative shades in Rajamouli's new flick only to get more closer to audience. If this project offers a breakthrough, Rana can climb up the ladder of stardom.
