As usually, Tollywood box office was flooded with the releases of many straight and dubbing movies in the year, 2012. However, only a few movies received the accolades of critics and the details of those movies are as follows.

* DEVASTHANAM: This movie was starred by SP Balasubrahmanyam, K.Viswanadh, Aamani and Rao Ramesh. The movie was directed by Janardhana Maharshi. Perhaps, this movie occupies the first place among the critically acclaimed movies.

* KRISHNAM VANDE JAGADGURUM: Starred by Rana and Nayantara and directed by Krish, the movie got the appreciations of the critics for its message. This movie fared well at the box office as well. 

* MIDHUNAM: Tanikella Bharani has directed this movie. The lead roles were played by SP Balu and Lakshmi. The director has shown the relationship of a husband and a wife in a heart touching manner.

* ONAMALU: Rajendra Prasad acted as the school teacher of this movie. The movie would have been a commercially safe, if the producer spent big bucks on it.

* EEGA: Critics appreciated this Rajamouli's film, as the film was well made even without a star hero. The visual effects of this movie received great appreciations. 

* ETO VELLIPOINDI MANASU: The director narrated this romantic story quite beautifully in a poetic way. Different stages of love and attractions in a man's life were well presented.

* DHONI: A good father must understand the likes of his son and has to try to do his best for his son' is the basic concept of this movie. Cricket background of this movie has attracted the youth and children a bit.

* CAMERAMAN GANGATHO RAMBABU:  Power Star Pawan Kalyan daringly presented the dark facts in current politics and social evils in the society. This movie has got a fruitful result at the box office as well.
