Although the movie received mixed reviews, it has given a promising director to tollywood, who can take the shots like Maniratnam. We are talking about Hanu Raghavapudi, the director of the romantic entertainer 'Andala Rakshasi', which was released on 10th August. "Undoubtedly, the director was perfect in takings and selecting a good theme. However, he took more than enough inspiration from Maniratnam's master pieces 'Geetanjali' and 'Mounaraagam', that  turned to be a setback for the movie.", felt the audiences who watched the movie. On the other side, critics are saying that if the director understands his mistakes and to come out with some interesting and entertaining subjects, he surely will emerge as tollywood Maniratnam.

Rahul Ravindran, Navin Chandra and Lavanya Tripathi played the lead star cast of this film. The music was rendered by Radhan. Sai Korrapati and S.S.Rajamouli jointly produced this movie under the banner Vaarahi Chalana Chitram.
