For the first time in the history of Telugu cinema, the elections for the A.P. Film Chamber of Commerce were held on 29th July, 2012. For the past few years, some of the small budget movie makers have been expressing their dissatisfaction about the theaters lease by the some of the big budget movie makers of tollywood. Finally, they contested against the big film producers in the elections.
Thammareddy Bharadwaj’s panel, which consisted 12 participants won the elections. A total of 11 participants were won in the election battle. Sravanthi Ravikishore’s panel, which was backed by some big budget movie makers lost the elections. Only one participant has won from their panel of 12 participants.
