Director Killed Star Writer's Future

Writers’ turning as Directors is a general phenomenon seen in Tollywood. We have seen men like Trivikram, Posani, Sampat Nandi, Koratala Siva as good examples for this. On an odd note, star writer Kona Venkat opted to become an artist and that too a villain artist with the film ‘Endukante Premanta’ which was declared a dud. In fact, Kona’s acting was not so bad but unfortunately director Karunakaran’s handling of the confused storyline made the Star Writer’s villainy acts to go unrecognized.

After the first failure trial as an artist, Kona is now heard to have decided never to don the grease paint. Currently very busy with too many star heroes projects in hand as a writer (inclusive of some Bollywood), surely Kona Venkat can safely give one more try, if the acting bug in him is still biting. If not, only Karunakaran needs to be cursed for killing Kona’s acting instincts.
