Some time ago before the entry of Srinu Vytla into top league directors list, the first two top chairs were shared between SS Rajamouli and Vv Vinayak. As time passed on, Rajamouli started to go off the stream handling small projects/subjects with big budgets (‘Maryada Ramanna’ and ‘Eega’) while Vinayak lost his touch to come up with a flop ‘Badrinath’ and then the big gap followed before starting a movie with Ramcharan tentatively titled as ‘Cherry.’

Surely, Vinayak has to tighten his belt in order to show his brand in film-making and shine at BO equally with Rajamouli. So, ‘Cherry’ would be the best opportunity because Ramcharan is also in form with success of ‘Rachcha.’ If one has to gauge the style and aptitude of Rajamouli and Vinayak on their past performances, they stand on equal levels. A healthy competition always existed between the two and in that terms ‘Eega’ has alerted Vinayak not to deliver anything less than an industry hit with ‘Cherry’ and no doubts this man has that qualification to stun us.
