Balayya Ignored, Mahesh Respected

Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Sri Ramarajyam' was released last year and received many accolades from the critics. Some of the observers have expected that Balakrishna would be one of the strong contenders to bag best actor award from any award distribution ceremony. Strangely, he could not get best actor award in 'CineMAA' awards ceremony as well as South Indian International Movie Awards( SIIMA) in Dubai.

In contrast, Prince Mahesh Babu was elected the best actor for his 'Dookudu' by 'CineMAA' as well as SIIMA. Some of the observers are saying that content wise, 'Dookudu' is an average movie and performance wise many heroes did on par with Mahesh Babu. For instance, Balayya Babu did well in 'Sri Ramarajyam' and Nagarjuna showed his excellency of acting in 'Rajanna'. However, many people are of the opinion that the organizers of both the award functions have taken only super hits into criteria in selecting the best actor awards. We have to wait and see whether who bags Nandi Best Actor Award this year.
