Anushka's Deadly War with Arya

After the superb performance as ‘Arundhathi,’ buxom lady Anushka is offered yet another meaty role which happens to be much bigger than ‘Arundhathi.’ As per the fresh buzz, Anushka is to act in a multi-lingual flick directed by Malayalam film maker Vayalar Madhavan Kutty. Story of the film is based on historical incidents happened between Tipu Sultan and Unniyarcha. Actually, Kamal Hasan was to play Tipu who is now replaced by Arya. Among the five names short listed for Unniyarcha, it was Anushka zeroed upon. In Malayalm, the film is titled as ‘Tipuvum Unniarchayum.’      

As per the basic storyline, legendary Malabar warrior princess Unniyarcha was a contemporary of Tipu Sultan. They both had a deadly war where Tipu captured her and taken Unniyarcha to Mysore in 1790 May. Wooed by her beauty, Tipu forced her to become one of his wives.
