Rajamouli takes Rajinikanth Burden!

Can South audience accept a movie based just on technical values and sheer brilliance of director without involvement of any celebrity star cast? Most of us would say a ‘Big No’ because star value is major force that drives a film’s commercial stamina in South. In particular when high budgets are involved, none of our producers or directors would risk on a project without big star names attached to it. May be for the first time, a visual extravaganza is coming before us very soon in the form of ‘Eega’ which is truly based upon the narration capabilities and special graphics visualized by SS Rajamouli

An analyst said, ‘earlier to ‘Eega’ we have seen an undefeated director like Shankar changing his calculations to rope in Super Star Rajinikanth for ‘Robot.’ Major strength of this project was not just the VFX used in creation of ‘Robot’ but it was presence of Rajinikanth. Any artist other than Rajini, definitely we wouldn’t have liked the robotics of Shankar. Coming to ‘Eega,’ there is no such star quotient involved. Alone Rajamouli has to take the entire burden as what Rajini took for ‘Robot’ because both these films fall under the similar category of raising the technical standards in Southern films. If ‘Eega’ succeeds commercially like ‘Robot,’ that will be a big breakthrough.’

As said by Emran Hashmi in ‘The Dirty Picture,’ ‘…there will be only one hero for any film and that is DIRECTOR.’ Can Rajamouli make this statement true?
