Star heroes flops @ Rs.40 Crores?

Seems like Telugu Cinema is currently in a transition period. Gone are the days where cine trade and the fans of heroes had shown their interest only on the 'run' of the movie. Gradually, people started counting the shares and grosses of the movies. This era continued for some time.

Right now, a powerful strategy is being implemented by the producers, who are making movies with star heroes. As per this strategy, despite the movie's talk on its first day, the movie has to collect at least Rs.40 crores share and a minimum of Rs.60 crores gross. To achieve this goal, the producers are going for a gigantic release of their movies. Releasing a movie in 1000+ theaters will be a common thing here after. Controlling the video piracy of the movie at least for two weeks after its release will be the added advantage for getting good collections. Apparently, the golden era of Telugu movie is coming back.
