Sukanya - Rahul Gandhi's mystery lady!

AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi’s name was continuously going strong in rumors linked to the name of Sukanya Devi. All the way from December 2006 when Rahul Gandhi camped in Amethi and met Sukanya Devi, there were wild gossips making rounds.

Now a petition filed by Kishore Samrite, former Samajwadi Party MLA from Madhya Pradesh on behalf of Sukanya Devi, her father Balram Singh and mother Sumitra Devi came to hearing in Lucknow Bench of Allahbad High Court. As per the petition, Sukanya Devi and her parents were in illegal detention of Rahul Gandhi since January 4, 2007. Accordingly Justice Shri Narayan Shukla passed the order seeking Rahul Gandhi’s reply on a habeas corpus and also sought the direction to command Rahul to produce the girl and her parents before the court and set them at liberty. What is the connection between Sukanya Devi and Rahul Gandhi is still an unsolved mystery!
