Kanguva Battles Piracy: A Fight For Box Office Success
Suriya's highly anticipated fantasy thriller Kanguva has hit a major snag: piracy. Just hours after its theatrical release on November 14th, the film was leaked online, available for download in multiple formats across various piracy websites.
The film's team is working tirelessly to remove these pirated copies, but the damage has already been done. Kanguva can be found on platforms like Filmyzilla, Movierulez, Telegram, Tamilrockerz, and more, offering downloads in resolutions ranging from 1080p to 240p. Search terms like "Kanguva Movie Download," "Kanguva HD Download," and "Kanguva on Tamilrockers" are trending as viewers seek free access to the film.
The piracy issue extends beyond torrent sites, with Kanguva also streaming illegally on platforms like Ibomma, Movierulz, TamilYogi, Tamilblasters, Bolly4u, Jaisha Moviez, 9xmovies, and Moviesda.
In response to the widespread piracy, the film's team issued a strong warning via an X post: "Anti piracy team on [alert] mode so don’t leak any contents your account may be suspended #Kanguva (sic)."
Despite the setback, Kanguva is expected to have a strong opening weekend, with estimated Day 1 earnings nearing Rs 6 crore. The film features Suriya in a dual role, portraying characters across different eras, and marks the Tamil debut of Disha Patani and Bobby Deol, adding to its star power.
The piracy issue highlights a crucial challenge for the film industry. While Kanguva promises a unique and captivating experience, the ease with which it has been illegally distributed online threatens its box office success. The fight against piracy is an ongoing battle, and its impact on the film's financial performance remains to be seen.
