Aavesham, the action-comedy film starring Fahadh Faasil, has emerged as one of the most beloved Indian films of 2024. Directed by Jithu Madhavan, the movie follows the story of three engineering students who befriend a local gangster, Ranga, played by Fahadh Faasil. The film became Fahadh's highest-grossing film to date and a massive blockbuster in Malayalam cinema.
According to recent reports, Aavesham is set to get a Telugu remake, with Ravi Teja acquiring the remake rights. Initially, rumors suggested senior superstar Balakrishna would play Ranga, but Ravi Teja is now confirmed to headline the project, also producing the remake. The original film featured Fahadh Faasil as Ranga, alongside Sajin Gopu, Hipzster, Mithun Jai Shankar, and Roshan Shanavaz.
Aavesham's narrative revolves around the trio's encounter with Ranga, an eccentric yet golden-hearted gangster, and his confidante Ambaan. Fahadh Faasil's performance as Ranga received widespread acclaim, supported by a talented cast, including Neeraja Rajendran, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Ashish Vidyarthi. Sushin Shyam composed the music, while Sameer Thahir handled cinematography.
As fans eagerly await the Telugu remake, the original Aavesham remains available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar (in Hindi). With Ravi Teja at the helm, the remake promises to bring a fresh perspective to the engaging storyline and memorable characters that made Aavesham a massive success.
