"Kalki 2898 Ad" is making waves globally, setting impressive records in international markets. Following the success of "Salar," which delivered a much-needed hit after "Baahubali," "Kalki" is poised for a sensational run.

The film, released as a Pan-India venture, garnered a remarkable $5 million on its opening day in the US alone. Trade analysts predict even stronger numbers in the coming days, with the potential for record-breaking collections.

While Prabhas enjoys widespread popularity in Telugu cinema, the film aims to replicate that success across other languages. "Kalki" is already on track to become a blockbuster in Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. However, the film unit is facing disappointment in Tamil and Malayalam markets.

Despite Kamal Haasan's presence as the antagonist, the film only managed to collect a meager Rs. 4 crore in Tamil Nadu, leaving trade pundits concerned. The film's promotional campaign in Tamil Nadu was notably limited, which may have contributed to the underwhelming box office performance.

The "Kalki" team attributes the low collections to heightened fan expectations fueled by the film's pre-release hype and Prabhas's star power. They believe that even a good film struggles to meet the overwhelming expectations created by the pre-release buzz.

It remains to be seen if "Kalki 2898 Ad" can overcome the challenges in the Tamil and Malayalam markets and solidify its position as a true Pan-India blockbuster.
