At the event, Samantha and Varun Dhawan announced Citadel: Honey Bunny, while Naga Chaitanya was present to celebrate the success of his web series Dhootha. According to a source, this decision was deliberate, as Samantha and Chaitanya want to avoid sparking reconciliation rumors and wish to keep their personal lives private.

The insider mentioned, “Samantha will never talk about her past and she wants the chatter only around her professional life. Sam and Chay have both moved on, and they want their fans to get over them as well and not hope for any reconciliation.”

During an Amazon Prime event, both Samantha and Chaitanya planned their schedules to avoid overlapping and minimize the chances of being written about together. Samantha, who is currently on a break from work due to her myositis diagnosis, is focused on strengthening her acting career.

Samantha and Naga Chaitanya tied the knot in 2017 after dating for seven years, having met on the set of Ye Maaya Chesave in 2009. Their decision to separate came in October 2021, marking the end of their four-year marriage. While Samantha is focusing on her health, Naga Chaitanya is gearing up for his upcoming film Thandel opposite Sai Pallavi.
