No Telugu version for Dunki. Despite the success of his earlier film 'Jawaan' in the Telugu states, the distributors of the highly anticipated 'Dunki,' featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu, have opted not to release a Telugu version. According to a prominent distributor, "

The decision not to dub 'Dunki' in Telugu and release only the Hindi version in the two Telugu states is a missed opportunity. They could have capitalized on the success of 'Jawaan' in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to generate additional revenue."

Rajshri Pictures, a renowned Bollywood production, is handling the distribution of this big-ticket film. The distributor acknowledges Shah Rukh Khan's growing popularity among Telugu viewers, citing the success of 'Pathaan' and 'Jawaan.' The upcoming film 'Dunki,' a comedy-drama directed and edited by Rajkumar Hirani, revolves around "donkey flights," an illegal immigration entry technique, and is eagerly anticipated by audiences. While Taapsee is familiar to Telugu viewers, the preference for Hindi releases is a disappointment for Telugu fans of Shah Rukh Khan.

Hindi films generally fare well in Telangana, where there is a strong affinity for Bollywood productions. However, the scenario is different in Andhra Pradesh. The distributor notes, "Audiences in Andhra Pradesh prefer watching the Telugu version over the Hindi version, as they may not be well-versed in the Hindi language. Consequently, 'Dunki' may perform better in cities like Vijayawada and Vizag, but attracting large crowds in B and C centers in Andhra Pradesh could prove challenging," he concludes.
