Nayanthara angry with Jawan director Atlee.Nayanthara's portrayal as Shah Rukh Khan's love interest in the recently released "Jawan" received widespread acclaim from both audiences and critics alike. While it's natural for fans to anticipate her appearance in more Bollywood projects, it seems that may not be the immediate path she's pursuing, according to insights from industry insiders. Nayanthara is not currently considering any scripts and has expressed dissatisfaction following the release of "Jawan," particularly with the film's director, Atlee.

One source reveals, "She has been very upset with Atlee because her role was significantly reduced in the film. Moreover, Deepika Padukone's character was given more prominence, and Nayanthara's part was somewhat sidelined." While Deepika is credited as having a special appearance, it appears that the film didn't quite convey it as such. The source emphasizes, "It was not a cameo at all. 'Jawan' almost seemed like an SRK-Deepika film. Nayanthara is a leading actor in the South, so she wasn't pleased with how 'Jawan' treated her character."

Could this also explain her absence from the film's promotional events, both before and after its release, including the recent success meet in Mumbai? The source clarifies that this is not the case: "Nayanthara seldom attends film events. She follows a no-promotion policy for her films due to past experiences with misquoting and her belief that her role is to act, not engage in promotional activities."

Although "Jawan" has achieved remarkable success at the box office, both domestically and internationally, experts caution that this doesn't necessarily guarantee a surge in high-profile Bollywood projects for Nayanthara. "While she is receiving appreciation, there are no ongoing discussions about other Bollywood projects at the moment," explains a source. "The reason is that she is nearly 40 and has surpassed the age bracket Bollywood typically focuses on. Therefore, in Bollywood, she may find roles that match her age and portray character-driven roles. In 'Jawan,' her chemistry worked well because she was cast opposite Shah Rukh, who complemented her perfectly."

While there have been discussions about Nayanthara being in talks for several projects, there have also been speculations regarding her remuneration. The source clears this up by stating, "Her compensation depends on the film and the individuals involved. It usually starts at ₹5 crore and can go as high as ₹10-12 crore, making her one of the highest-paid actresses in the South. For 'Jawan,' she charged around ₹10-11 crore, considering it was a pan-India project."
