Vidyut Jammwal shocking revelations about Thuppaki. Vidyut Jammwal recently opened up about his unexpected journey into the role of the antagonist in the 2012 film "Thuppakki," starring Thalapathy Vijay and directed by the renowned AR Murugadoss, known for his work in "Ghajini." Surprisingly, Jammwal was not the initial choice for the role of the main villain, who leads a sleeper cell in the film.

Before stepping into the shoes of the antagonist, Jammwal had already made his mark in Bollywood with films like "Stanley ka Dabba" and "Force." He recalled his first meeting with AR Murugadoss, during which the director had seen his photos and a short clip from another project.

Jammwal shared, “When I went to his house, he looked at me and said, 'I think you are the main villain.' So, I thought he was joking.” However, it turned out that the actor originally cast for the role had opted out of the project, claiming a more substantial part in a major Hindi film. This twist of fate brought the role of the main antagonist in "Thuppakki" to Jammwal.

Reflecting on his experience shooting the action-packed film, Jammwal admitted, “When I had gone for Thuppakki, I had 100% surrendered to Murugadoss. Everything he thought, everything he said, I was diligently listening to him.”

Interestingly, before taking on the role, Jammwal had not read the script or learned about the character. He explained, “When I went on the set, I had read the imperceptible role. I didn't believe him. So, lucky for me, he had offered me that role and this is all destiny. I was happy being that other character too, but when I went on set, I was that character.”

"Thuppakki," released in 2012, also stars Kajal Aggarwal and Zakir Hussain. It marked a significant release for Vijay at the time, with over 1,500 screens booked by the makers. The film achieved tremendous success at the box office and received several awards, solidifying its place in cinematic history.
